Thousands of people poured onto the streets in different cities of Iran. From the first days of its formation, these demonstrations were violently suppressed by the police and security forces. Thousands of people were killed in the series of mass protests to change the political and social conditions in Iran. Hundreds of people lost their eyes, more than a hundred thousand people were arrested and imprisoned, and dozens of people were executed.
