Shaghayegh Khademi 24 years old poses for the camera at a park in the north of Tehran. In the first days of the protests, she was arrested at her boyfriend’s house after she was caught by city cameras using facial recognition software. She was initially sentenced to 16 years in prison but was released after four months when the leader of the Islamic Republic issued a general pardon. She is now working as a nail technician in one of the beauty salons in Tehran.
