Shahla Jahed, one of the most famous female murderers in Iran, is standing by the window in Tehran's Evin prison. Shahla Jahed was in a temporary marriage (Sighe) to Nasser Mohammadkhani, a famous footballer. She was sentenced to death for the murder of Mohammadkhani’s first wife. She was hanged in Evin prison after serving eight years in prison. Shahla's controversial case opened many discussions about polygamy laws and the lack of protection for women in Iran.
