20-year-old Reyhane Jabari, who was in prison for murder, looks out through the special window for prisoners in Tehran's Evin prison. At the age of 19, in an act of self-defense, Reyhane Jabari, stabbed a man and killed him to prevent being raped by him. Reyhane was hanged at the age of 27 after being in prison for many years. Reyhane's case became one of the most controversial murder cases in Iran and created many discussions about the lack of adequate laws to protect women. March 9th, 2009.
